Cross breeding

if I get say a black sexlink roo and a EE female and they breed what kind of babies will they have? Will the blue/green egg trait cross over?

Not reliably. You are in effect breeding two cross breeds together making a 4 way cross or even a more convoluted cross since Easter Eggers are in no way a set breed or strain of chicken. And Black Sex Links are themselves a hybrid cross. As to what kind of baby chickens this will produce, my best guess is that they will have feathers growing on them.

LOL thank you. I hadn’t thought of them both being cross breeds. I probably won’t get a roo was just curious as to how breeding affects the colored egg gene.

Get your self a pure (as in INBRED) Araucana or Ameraucana rooster and his female offspring will produce blue eggs.
