i have just put my spare silver dutch in with my six warrens (to save him from the other dutch cockeral) and having never mixed large fowl and bantams was wondering if theres any chance of him fertilising any eggs ??

If a hen is "in the mood" she'll lay down on the ground so the bantam roo can do the deed. However, any offspring will end up being medium-sized chickens. That's great if you're looking for broodies (a bantam trait), because they can sit on more eggs, but bad if you're selling eggs, because everybody wants large ones.
