so today me and my granddad decied to take they crossbred pigeons and the racing pigeons on a toss (first time doing this it was 10 in the morning exactly when we let them out my mam was at home and took the time it was 2 miles away the racing pigeons got in at 8 minutes and the crossbred at 10 and then the other crossbred at 13 i was happy because it was my first time is 2 miles good for 8 minutes i know its only 2 miles it isnt that good but next time im letting them out at 5 miles then 10 miles then 15 and so on

That is excellent in my books for their first toss. Anytime they make it home is excellent in my books however. They are imprinting the area around your loft and tuning their homing instincts all the time they are in flight.

Could you make it home from that distance in eight minuts??? Or even thirteen for that matter?

You will see the times get better every time you let them out. Especially if you fly them on an empty or near empty crop.

It is always a good police to toss before noon where possible especially on the longer toss the earlier the better!.

Congratulations Aaron you must be excited!

I would do a bit of research on training tosses on the internet before I went on your scheduled toss program Aaron.

I am not sure if you are going about this in the right manner.

You could be setting yourself up for unnecessary losses and heartache. Especially with your cross bred pigeons I would be a bit more cautious.
