Crossed beak questions

Hey backyard bird lovers,

Quick question... i have a super sweet crossed beak silkie rooster that has been trying ro mate with my hens with no luck that ive seen so far. Is this actually possible to achieve tor him?

Cross beaks can be caused by a genetic problem, so I would be reluctant to mate him - the defect could be passed on to offspring.
The fact that he is cross-beaked may be why the hens won't mate with him...

I also have a silkie rooster with a cross beak! Same thing over here he tries to mate with our hens with no luck. I am not trying to hatch out little chicks so I’m kind of happy that’s not going on over here! Ha.
