I have a really large BCM and he grew large really fast , He is much larger than my 1 year old BIG brama that was my biggest roo . The BCM is only about 20 weeks. Id like to try crossing him with somthing for a good meat bird , any Idea's of a good cross?

BCM make excellent meat birds as a pure breed. If you already have good size and fast growth, you have what is desired in a DP geared towards meat. They have very nice leg quarters. Also, even though they have black feathers, they pluck easily and have very white skin. If you have some nice sized hens, I would put him with just them and see what you get.

Their meat is awesome tasting also more of a darker meat. I am going through a change with birds, getting rid of all laying hens I have and am working on BCM and Blue Marans, that way the culling wouldn't appear that bad I just use them for meat. Try him you will like him.

ps I did breed one of my boys with a FR they are at 7 weeks, I will see how they taste.

that looks like a big boy would make for a good dual purpose farm yard meat and egg birds that would be self breeders might be worth trying out any idea on weights on them
