Crossing Crested with Non-Crested: Tips?

I was wondering what happens when you cross a non-crested chicken with a crested one. I am particularly thinking of crossing an Oriental Gamecock with a Polish hen. What would be the result when it comes to crests? I have seen pics of chickens like this, and they usually have some long, slender feathers behind the eye, but besides this, they didn't have a crest. Any experience that you could share? Thanks!
