Crossing heritage RIR and black Jersey giant or other large black breed

hi! I have been a member for a while, but I usually just read posts. now I have a question. Considering crossing my RIR roosters with Jersey giant or MAYBE black orpington. What do y'all think that would be like in color and temperment? I want a decent amount of brown eggs with some broodiness.

P.S. do the chicks generally inherit more atributes from the male of female?

I believe they will be black with red hackles.

They'll either be solid black, or black with red leakage.
