I'm naive on colors but @LadiesAndJane @LynnaePB might be able to help you good luck!Ok lavender( self blue experts. ) What happens if I cross a silkie lavender roo with a paint hen? I assume I would get paint chicks and black as I am essentially crossing a black bird to a paint. Is that correct or will they all come out black
Late to respond, but I agree fully. To my understanding you should end up with half paint chicks split to self blue and half black split to self blue.I believe it's the same as crossing black to paint except all would be splits
Would they need to be crossed to a lavender to have lavender chicks? To my understanding you should end up with half paint chicks split to self blue and half black split to self blue.I believe it's the same as crossing black to paint except all would be splits
If you cross lavender splits to lavender, you get 50/50 lavender and black split lavender. There has to be two copies of the gene present for lavender to express itself.Would they need to be crossed to a lavender to have lavender chicks?
