Crouching duckies hidden nest...

So today I got to watch my ducks actually run out of their run for free ranging. Well I watched two females vanish into what looked like a duck dug hole under a pallet. Watched another vanish under some lattice.

so I start clearing away the winter buildup and what do I find? Two different nests with a total of 5-7 eggs in each.
The only ducks participating in hidden nest time are my Aztecs.
Guess that they weren’t as freeloading as I thought

Nah they aren’t in the process of sitting in those nest it is a lay an egg and run thing. They JUST started lying so they haven’t really built up the hormones yet.

Here is a picture of a new hidden nest. Silly birds keep hiding them. I think they disk my nesting spots.
