So my one female duck (bonnie) disappeared a couple days ago and today when i was looking for her i found her sitting on eggs in a very tall patch of grass (about 20 feet from her enclosure, close to the house) and the nest she had made was BEAUTIFUL and she was very well hidden, i mean i walked past her for two days while looking for her and didn’t see her lol. so many people have told me if i move the eggs to the house she won’t sit on them and she really is doing a great job but i would hate for something to get at her. what should i do?

Predators will smell her out. You can try moving her and the eggs into a large dog crate in the coop bring as much nesting material as you can. She may give up but at least she’ll be safe. I had a hen that was determined to nest outside and I would find her nest take the eggs and she’d start again somewhere else until she didn’t come home one evening I never saw her again.

Either that or try to build a temporary fence around her. It is hard to make temporary fencing predator proof, but it would be better than nothing.
