crowded in the incubator now

    This is my first hatching and I know I'm not supposed to open the incubator but -

    15 out of 17 hatched now. Lots of eggshell, some chicks dry and others being born now and others drying off. Should I leave all the old eggshell until all are dry? They are running about shouting and treading on each other. And some are shouting at me through the window if I look in.

    it's a hovabator 42 egg model. thank goodness I don't have 42 in there!

    When the last 2 are out its safe to open it an grab out the trash. Let the chicks dry good before removing them.
