Crowing chick

Is it possible for a 5 day old chick to start trying to crow? This little black australorp streaches out puffs up and lets out a squeel. Seems to be proud of himself. John

Some of the little guys just want to get an early start.

Yep, I had one crow at five days and one at seven days. Both were definitely boys.

This raising chicks thing is a suprise every day. He has only crowed 3 times so far and there is nobody but me here to hear it. Wait till the wife gets home.

Not a sound since she has been home. I did catch a buff orp giving a holler late this afternoon. Just so fascinating. They all think Iam crazy anyway. John
