Crowing hen!

No crowing today, sadly.
Shoulda gotten up earlier.
Early morning seems to be the magic time for chicken crowing.

I guess I'll stalk her with a camera until I get it.

We have a standing traditional reply to many a posting here... As do many other forums, "pic's or it didn't happen." However, in this particular case, "Video with *good* audio or it still hasn't happened."

This is a skittish banty hen. Can't get too close.

You're lucky if you get any video, let alone with GOOD audio.

It will kill me if she doesn't crow ever again. She's infuriating like that.

Should of gotten something calm like a leghorn.

I never had much problems with the females but ive had some @hole males before. A lot of the males seemed to have that small bird syndrome. Theyd always want to pick fights and with one of the biggest roosters they coukd find.

My friend adopted a little bantum rooster and he's a cocky little thing. Tries to attack you as soon as your backs turned and then when you pick him up he's like absolutely fine. Chickens are weird creatures

I actually like that. Most of my Orps have been girly.
I like a cockerel to be reasonably brave.
