Yeah! 3ish am this morning first chick hatched. So excited to see others in next few days. This is my first hatch. Cool Beans!

Thank you for quick response. Will move dry fluffy ones this evening and do the same with rest that hatch over next day or so. Since up to 7 days collecting these I assume a day or so late is expected.Some move the chicks as soon as they are dry, some wait for ~12 hours, some don't remove them till they are positive no more eggs have pipped.. In general it's not recommended to leave them in the incubator for more than 24 hours and some say they shouldn't be left there for more than 12.
Lost one of the first 3 but just had a new one take its place.As long as they can get away from the heat, it's okay if it gets a little warmer - that's better than going too cold. Hope you can save them!
Think I have. It wasn’t hot enough that got the one I believe. Hopefully all good when get home this evening. Had 8 more piping when I left. Hatch rate is higher than expected. 54 more in another incubator due in 2 weeks.I hope you figure out the lamp quick.
Overheating them is obviously deadly.
