Crumbles too powdery

I recently purchased a pair of Golden Sebrights, and being bantams they cannot eat pellets, so I am feeding them Blue Seal layer crumbles. However, the crumbles seem very dusty and the bantams keep coughing while they eat. Has anyone had a similar experience or know of a less powdery food I could try? Thanks in advance!

I have never had sebrights so I don't know if there is something about them that I do not know, but my other bantam breeds have eaten pellets in the past with no problems. I have never heard that this would be an issue.

You could always wet or ferment the food you have if it is a problem for you currently.

It might help to let us know where you are if you are wanting to be directed to a particular brand. Many of them are pretty regional.

Too many `fines' (powder) in the feed. If this is a recently purchased bag, return it to dealer for replacement (or apply credit to a bag of another brand).
