Crusher Run and Beach Sand Run

I'm sick and tired of all the MUD this spring in North Alabama!

I finally installed a new floor in my run, it has 2" of crusher run covered by 2" of sand all contained in 1x6 pressure treated.

I'm almost looking forward to the rain to see how it work out.

What do think?

I put my lights for my baby chicks outside, about 3 foot off the ground because they needed to go outside and I was worried about the what ifs inmother nature. I go outside at night now and the pen is buzzing with action. chickens chasing bugs, scratching and just having a ball, even my older hens if 12 months is old.

I like the deep litter and I plan on going to it as well:^}
