Of course they will pick on her, thats just the way chickens are pick on the wierd ones, best case get a silkie too, and the frizzle will be safe from being picked on.
anyone want to incubate muscovy duck eggs? I pulled them from under the deck and am trying to keep the birds in the coop area (to no avail). I read that when we touch their eggs, they won't sit on them. in fact, now they're going to look for an even more difficult for me to find spot. brats. i've got over 20 eggs. I know nothing about incubation. I did lose the father/brother two nights ago, and i really wouldn't mind another drake hissing at me!!
Yep, they're laying up a storm and i had no idea. lil buggers. and the drake was happily mating every chance he got, once i even caught them in the water when the duck was TRYING to take a bath!!
I have 4 of your duckies in my bator and Sophi has the other 4.
Yay! We should get good info on fertility with 3 different people incubating the eggs! I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'd love to have more. I would have only taken 2 of the 3 I picked this spring but I couldn't leave just one behind. 7 ducks is a lot in our little yard as I hope you will all see this summer!

Hmm... if you can get the eggs to me I'd be willing to hatch a few for you. My first batch will be done next weekend and I'd be willing to put some of yours in for you :3
PM me. Would anyone be interested it taking them when they hatch?
