I think we wore them last year too. It was a good way to connect a BYC name with a real name. Heck, it was the ONLY way! And it sounds like we'll have even more people this year.

I think Name tags are a good idea. I will only make a connection from screen names myself. You are not a dork!

it looks like tis going to be a very busy day with lots of good chicken folk!

as a suggestion, mabe closer to the time mabe it would be an idea to make a general list of what folks are brining for the potluck (i mean why have duplicates when there can be even more choice) as well as what folks are planning on bringing in terms chicks/younguns and seedlings/plants.
mabe even a wanted's list...
something like:
(for exmaple only)
Hengirl:
Bringing: Brownies, assorted vegatable seedlings and 6 barred rock pullets.
Wanted: Silkie chicks and assorted full sun flowering plants.

this way folks will have an idea of whats going to be around and may get more ideas on what to bring should they have it...

and if someones looking for something in specific in chicks/pullets/roos they could pm directly and that person could mabe bring a few more if they have them if they know there going to go

me and my sister are extreemly excited.
Dads going to build mums coop in the next 2 weeks as her birthday gift, shes going to be sooo happy!

I also think a list of what everyone is bringing would be helpful. What else do we need. What can I bring? I have never been to one of these before. Would baked desserts be fine, or do we have too many of those? Are supplies still needed? Paper goods? Any idea would help me greatly!
 
Baked desserts are awesome as are list keepers. Who's keeping which list? We need greeters, name tag, sign in people. Need peeps to offload chickens, merchandise to marketplace area.

Please feel free to volunteer...
