CT Chickenstock-2009

We are coming rain or shine. The kiddo is in bed with a tummy ache right now. That's the only thing that might keep us home. Even so I might venture out alone and leave him home with daddy. But he usually bounces back pretty quickly and I expect he'll be fine by then.

its gonna be raining, so I am staying home.

only a few more days.

Hey, I just noticed this and might like toake run down. I have not read the entire thread, but I have a few questions..

1) Anyone have one or two pullets I might be able to buy?

We just lost a 2nd year Barred Rock sadly, and need to replace her. I would like maybe a RIR, Ameraucana, or something in the heavy breed. We have four Buff's and the one BR now. The birds are sort of pets, the kids know thye can be food at any time, but they get kid interaction so "pretty birds" are nice.

2) Is it too late to come down with my wife and 4 kids? Could I bring anything?

If anyone sees this in time and has some chicks or young pullets, please drop me a line!

Dang! I just noticed just how far down this is... it's a four hour round trip for us... I don't think we can make it after all!

Any chance there is anyone from the NE CT area that is going? Maybe someone could ferry a pullet or two closer our way?
