Not sure what to think beyond roo. So many breeds with similar markings.

5 1/2 weeks. Strong like you wouldn't believe. Getting used to being held though.

He has a bunch of feathers that are just now developing on his wings. I will post another photo in a day or two.

Barred Rock cockerel. A Dominique would have a rose comb and a Cuckoo Marans would have pink legs.

We have marans hens (6) and they have grayish legs at this age. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. We also have 6 barred rocks

He came from McMurray as one of our "free" chicks. He is sticking his head way out because it is his first time on a glass table and outside and he doesn't know what to think.

Could be HQ Cuckoo Marans, but he's a cockerel for sure

His coloration is like our other Cuckoo Marans but lighter.

Wouldn't a barred Rock have bright yellow legs? Our MMM barred Rock always did. Plus a BR wouldn't be a MMM "rare" chick. I vote cuckoo marans, also.

If he came from a hatchery and was a free chick I would bet that he is a Black Sex-Link Rooster...
