My little brother just bought more mixed eggs.....

.But I feel bad for them and I end up with double the chicks. I feel so drained

and my finals are coming up.

When do you think should I check the Maran eggs to see if their fertille......

I dont know. With other eggs I think around day 10 or so but with Marans I have heard they are too dark to see through. I am getting ready to hatch some black copper marans myself. Just got them in the mail. Cant wait. I've never tried them before. ON another note I finally have a baby out. I have some ameraucana and ameraucana/white rock crosses hatching as we speak.

We put ours in on the 27th. Did candle at day 8. In the CM eggs we looked for the air cell size and any obvious dark areas of the eggs. Actually, the blue/green ones were worse to see in. When are you going to candle?

If they are the same ones in the earlier photo should be no problem seeing. Check them on day eight. and then again on 10 if you dont see anything
