Cuckoo maran eggs

I have two cuckoo marans, one lays dark chocolate eggs the other lays cream colored eggs. Is this normal? I don’t mind just found it odd.

If you got the Marans from a hatchery or a farm store rather than from a breeder who has selected for dark eggs just how dark they lay is kind of random.
