I inherited a flock of barnyard mixes, but I'm trying to determine what all's in the batter....

I've figured out Favorelle for the big rooster and Dorking for the smaller one, now for the hens....

Check out the grey/silver ones in these pics....they lay an almost pink egg, like a rock

What say ye?

Does the Favorelle roo have feathered legs?

Those hens aren't either BR or cuckoo marans. What kind of comb do they have? Can you get a closer picture?

Those are all Easter Eggers. And, haven't I seen this flock in question before? I specifically remember complimenting that roo.

I do not see the smaller rooster? The "grey" ones are silver penciled, and I think wyandottes (hatchery quality). Better quality ones would have yellow legs. Their combs appear to be rose combs, not pea combs. I would have guessed dorking (based upon your statement that the 2nd cock is a dorking), except that the colour is entirely wrong, plus the legs look much too tall.

That rooster does look rather like a Salmon Faverolle, but he is clean-legged, so he is not one. I'm going to have to go with Easter Eggers on them too. They can lay pink or brown eggs as well as the green/blue they are known for. Nice looking bunch of birds!
