Cuckoo Maran rooster?

He is definitely not a marans. He could likely be a BSL roo as they are very common, or as several others discussed, any cross with some barring in one parent. The clean yellow legs, and leakage of gold and solid in the feathers could come from a lot of common American breeds but again, a marans he is not.

Yes I agree totally he is not a Maran a mixture probably, I was just showing more pics as I finally got the pic of the blue! I still like showing off my chickens even if they are mixes lol.

He is a very hansom boy and I love mixes too! My absolute favorite is hatching a few of my hens eggs from the mixed pen in the spring. They are about 20 older rare and heritage breed hens in with a Swedish Flower and Blue Copper Marans roos, those chicks have come out just beautiful and fun, and trying to decide which mom and which dad yielded which combination of color or comb or feathered shanks is so fun!

CM was re-homed today, the new owner lowed him at first sight, he will be used for breeding.

He's a handsome guy! I love those mixed barred roosters, and they're fun to play with when breeding.
