Cuckoo Maran X Question

[Why and Dotte]

If a cuckoo and a rooster of another breed is to be crossed which one would be dominent? I wish I could tell you the breed but the eggs I recieved the roosters were never seperated so it could be anyone.
The chick I hatched out is yellow, with a few dots of black.
I was just curious I know nothing about chicken geneitcs but have dabbled in equine color genetics, I know you can tell the dom. gene without knowing both parents, but that's with horses.
