This chicken is 6 weeks old. It has always been the biggest, right from the beginning, and it's feathers were super slow to come in - the others (Welsumer and Whiting True Green) had long wing feathers, shoulders and necks were mostly in, and the Marans only had little tiny pin feathers emerging at the top of the wing.
It's comb got bigger about a week ago and now it's coloured up and I see wattles coming in. It is probably three times the weight of the others (which seems extreme even given the lighter weight of the other breeds). Do you think it's a cockerel too?
