Cuckoo Marans - roos? Help please!!

Hey guys - here they are. They are a little over 16 weeks and for the life of me I can't figure them out. I know, I know ..... I got them from Funny Farm cuckoos off of the MOA website and they are very nice, big birds. Please help me! I haven't heard crowing, etc either ...

no pic, but this might help.
The roos have better markings making them lighter.
The pullets/hens have more muted markings.

Ok I see pics now you have roos, very pretty.

Here is a younger roo see how he has clearer markings making him appear as they say "lighter"

As they get older the roos markings are always more defined.

I think they are pullets because to me, they are dark but

glad we're helping a bit

i say roos based on color. females are more mottled looking than barred. those are some great looking cuckoo marans though! and they have feathered feet! i've only had the clean legged variety of cuckoo marans.

Thanks so much - these guys are huge and very docile. They outweigh my full grown ee's by a ton. My DH, who isn't a chicken fan, really likes them a lot. I guess I am going to have to order some more to get him some girls.

And here I am "downsizing"...
