Can anyone tell me what the consequences will be to my two hens, Scarlett and Biddy, if I give my rooster, Henry, away? He has turned really mean and aggressive. I have found a good home for him, so I know HE will be okay. But I need to know how this is going to affect the girls. Will they adjust? I never really wanted a rooster in the first place (I live in town), and he was kind of a surprise! To add to the problem, my son is in a wheelchair and can't even go in the back yard without Henry attacking his legs! We just can't have this. Thanks for any help you can offer!!!!!!!

I just processed 5 roos a couple of weeks ago. Still have 9 pullets that adjusted very well. Two more started laying within a week of sending the roos to the freezer. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
