Years ago, my Great grandma would essentially do that to any meaners. She's grab them, yanked them and then fix them for supper. Think great depression time so nothing was wasted, but according to my pappaw she had a way about it that just did it swiftly. By the time I came around she didn't raise chickens anymore. I think it was more of a do what you needed to just then moments.Sorry if this is off topic, but has anyone ever heard of killing a rooster by grabbing it by the head/high neck, lifting off the ground and swinging the body in a circle - essentially wringing the neck? I have never seen that method mentioned on here so I don’t know if it’s cruel or shouldn’t be done, but my family was telling me that their neighbor killed his rooster that way and it was instant and no mess. Just curious about it since I hadn’t ever heard of it.
