lol

I think I'd use Moses for the female line since he has darker barring, and use Jack for the males. I'm no expert though... my flock has issues too

I started snapping shots of some hens in the breeding pen...this one seems to have one of the best combs....its considered a 5point comb right?

This is probably my smallest hen, so I was thinking of getting rid of her & pairing her up with my rooster, but other than being small (which I know is very bad), she probaby has the best type out of any hen. She has nice wing carriage, good tail color (for sure the best out of my flock) & has a decent comb. What do you think?

If I did sell her itd be these two as a pair (her & the will morrow roo)

Kaylee, you have some nice birds! I think that little cockerel looks promising. I need another roo now! Thinking of getting EJ's brother back

This is a really interesting and informative thread. I don't have roosters, but I DO like Delawares and always like to know more about different breeds.

Krypton, that third pic in post #23 where you said the one on the left was hatched the same day--I swear that one looks like a pullet to me! The head, the comb, everything. Are there saddle feathers on that one? I think I see some, but wow, even with barred tail feathers, it seems girly. My Gracie had barred tail feathers till she was about 16 weeks old and they molted out and now she has nice tail black. If there are saddle feathers hanging down, then forget what I said, but that is one oddly feminine rooster, if so!
