I am getting to the point in my hatch this year where I would like to start culling. I know not to cull for color first, but I have just begum to study the color pattern of the Red. I do not have an APA standard, but I have an ABA standard and was surprised to find the color pattern of the Red listed as Black Tailed Red. I thought the Red would have a color pattern of its own. I know the color patterns of the Black Tailed White which are the same for BTR. Is the Red color pattern actually the same as a Black Tailed Red? Do the same principles apply as would apply to the Black Tailed White (Japanese).
