I have seven Welsumer roosters. I want to take six for eating. Originally I was planning on leaving the big boss roo, but should I leave the one that gets picked on? The reason I am thinking that way is he is the most passive of the lot and make get along better with the other chickens possible. He is missing some tail feathers, and hopefully those would grow back without the big guy picking on him. Opinions on this please.

Depends on what you want him for, breeding or a pet? If you just want him for a pet I would pick the friendliest one

Then I would pick the best one for breeding, I dont know much about Welsummers so I dont know what they are supposed to be like

If you are breeding then you need the most desirable roo you have. If you are worried about personality because of kids ect then pic the most docile but be warned when it becomes the dominant roo it may get more assertive.
