Hi, I'm creating an informative video about culling Silkie roosters. I understand that it has a purpose, but I'm personally not a huge fan of the practice. I am doing an experimental treatment with my roo, Coco (Suprelorin implant) in hopes that others who have raised Silkies and become attached to a noisy roo can have an alternate solution. I know that raising Silkies is wildly popular in my area, but the city doesn't allow noisy roosters (we're keeping Coco, he gets to hang out inside with the cats and he loves it). Does anyone have any facts, concerns or thoughts about the practice? Has anyone tried Suprelorin?
Would love thoughts/opinions/info! Pic of Coco attached for attention grabbing.

I am confused. I googled suprelorin and it is an androgen hormone implant for hens to stop them laying. Why are you putting it in your rooster?

And what does that have to do with culling (killing)?
