Cups or nipples for drinking water.

I am wondering if there is a disadvantage to using nipples instead of the cups. I had one of each and they only used the cups. I just switched to nipples basically it seems cleaner. I am just hoping it doesn't make them aggressive.

Nipples are cleaner but, depending on the type of cup, one is really easy to spin off and clean.
The problem with both cups and vertical nipples is winter. They will both freeze, won't provide water and break.
The only thing that works in freezing weather is horizontal nipples. That is as long as the heated water reservoir that the horizontal nipple is inserted into and in contact with warm water.
