They are 13 week old Brahma + Australorp mixes. I'm new to chickens, my neighbor gave me a mama hen and 9 chicks a few months ago.

I believe that there is often one dominant rooster who develops faster, and the others keep their hormones in check. I am about to test this theory; I had one cockerel with much bigger and redder comb, the other boys were so much paler and smaller that not just I, but some friends who are experienced breeders of d'Uccles, thought they could be pullets. The dominant boy went to new home couple of days ago, and we will see if some of the possible girls will turn into boys. I can see the signs alreadyThank you. I wondered, but was not sure because of their bother, he's the same age as them, but has a lot bigger comb and wattles. Guess I'll have to find the other boys a new home. View attachment 4006430
