Curious / learning 5day old chicks

I will and I am glad i came across the community. Thank you. One of the chicks seems a bit skittish and i dont know why it just wakes up abruptly every few seconds. Also is it normal for them to sleep w one of their heads on the other and then heads down?

Yes that's perfectly normal. They'll all have individual personalities and some will be bolder than others. We get our chicks out and sit on the floor with them to get them used to us being around them. Ours will now come and sit on me when they start to get tired and I can gently stroke their backs. One of our chicks has always been desperate to get out of the brooder to interact with us, but her brother is much more cautious. Once he's out of the brooder he's perfectly fine and happy, eating out of our hands and climbing on us, but convincing him to come out of the brooder without it being a big drama is still a challenge. They definitely all have unique personalities.

They are such fun! They looks very cute and content.
When I brooded (if that’s a word) our chicks indoors, it would surprise me that they stayed quiet in the morning until they heard us even though we weren’t up until way after sunrise (late-getter-uppers)! If they’re quiet or chirping to themselves then they’re happy from my experience. You can tell a “cry” chirp... it’s much more shrill.

They look great. Please be careful with the water dish. They can crawl in and drown when they're that small.I put some rocks in mine after having that happen to me.
