Curious Silkie Question

So the last time I raised baby Silkie chicks my male and female had different looking tales as they grew. I only had 2 so not sure if this is true for all or just coincidence. The female had a more triangular tale as the males was a lot rounded and puffier.. now I am raising 18 of them so I’m curious if this has been true for others, or like I said just a coincidence… thoughts, comments, And/or advice welcome!

I find Silkies nearly impossible to sex. I had what I was sure was a cockerel lay an egg. That's how I figured out he was a she.
