Hello everyone! I’m a newbie, having just hatched two sets of eggs. In the last group, my last chick, a salmon faverolle, hatched last night, day 23. I just noticed it’s flipping over a lot and has one foot with curled toes. I put it in a foot brace about 20 minutes ago and it’s been chirping almost nonstop since... is this normal? I haven’t seen it eat, but have been using a dropper to give water. It seems lively enough. I separated it from the other babies and have it by itself in the incubator at 95 degrees and all vents open for circulation. Should I put it with other or leave it alone? Thanks!

It’s also got a small raw area on its leg from being rubbed. I put bacitracin on it. I’m sure the other chicks will just peck at it if I put it in with them

What ended up happening with this baby? Did you put it back in with other chicks?

Its still alive and getting around decently to it’s food and water. Hasn’t flipped over in a while so that’s good. It’s still with just 1 silkie “friend”. The wrapping and sling didn’t work out and the toes are improved a little but not much. I have someone taking them next week who can give a good home, even to “hop along”
