This is my third time incubating eggs and for some reason this has been the worst hatch! Out of twelve eggs only four hatched and two were malpositioned, I guess, I'll post pics of them even though they have already hatched. When the last chick externally pipped he/she busted alot of veins. There was a huge blood clot in the egg after it hatched. The last chick is not able to walk it is fumbling around in the bator, when I picked him/her up the foot looked swelled and a little bruised. It is so sad to see it fumbling around and if there is anything I can do to help I want to give him/her the best opportunity at life. Also he/she has something going on with the umbilical cord I dont know if it's anything to worry about or not, the other chick had a spot were its yolk looks like it didnt get absorbed fully any insight on these problems would be needed! I got only one pic to load and when I get sufficient signal I will post the other pics.

A better pick of the baby's umbilical cord.

This was the first one that looked malpositioned.

Sorry no one answered yet.. your thread probably fits better in emergencies diseases and cures... I will try to ask If your thread can be replaced
Okay thanks I posted on the raising chicks and then I was like maybe I should have did it on the emergency one but I had already posted so...😂 I have been really concerned about that poor chick it is so energetic but it cant walk it is so pitiful I cant even put it in with its siblings because I'm afraid it would get shavings in its eyes from scratching around trying to walk😭

I should also say I tried making a little splint for its foot and it seemed to sorta help with the curling foot but it still wont use the whole leg, it curls it up to its body.

I will try and get some pics today when we get back from church the siblings are all doing fine, I eggtopsied the other eggs that didnt hatch and two had a bacteria problem and the other ones got ready to hatch, one even absorbed the yolk, and they just quit I guess or the weren't able to pip and suffocated... but like I said before in the post this has been a rough incubation. We had one die like in the first week, when we cracked it, it had three eyes🤢 This is the siblings fat fine and very sassy

Well I have sad news to end this thread on... I started doing some physical therapy on the baby, me and my sister named him/her Broke Toe Jr. after one of the old white leghorns we had that had a broke toe. Anyway we started doing therapy, got Broke Toe Jr. to walking, albeit stumbly, clumsy walking but it was good enough for him/her to start living with the siblings. Well we moved the babies yesterday to our garage, and I really wasnt planning on one of our cats getting trapped in the garage but he did and before I realized it he made a small feast out of my sweet little Broke Toe Jr. I don't blame the cat if I was locked in a room and there was a tasty snack in there I would eat it. I'm disappointed I had such high hope's for him after we got him walking and eating and drinking... but I just hope that maybe it was better for his life to end now, maybe something wasnt right to begin with... thanks @Stipenvlerk for commenting and helping me, and you might say you didnt do much but you encouraged me to keep trying!
