This girl is barred rock and possibly ameraucana. She has two tail feathers that curl upwards, is this sign of a male? genetic defect? I struggled to find similar cases of this happening. One leg is thicker than the other, no noticeable long/bright neck feathers, small pink comb, 15 week old.

Probably a genetic defect, but it won't harm the bird. Keep us updated when all of her tail feathers grow in, it looks interesting.

I have a Americana that had 2 tail feathers like that when she 13 weeks they fell out, never came back. Told everyone she had a cowlick;)
