Curly Toes...???

Is this from genetics or incubating?


I have some red broilers I want to try and breed, one is really big and cool but has some curly toes, they just bend sideways instead of down. I think maybe 1 or 2 toes on each foot and I didn't want to breed him if this is something that will be passed down.

Sounds like it was something that happened to him as a chick, like spraddle leg. Post a picture and we can probably tell you for sure. If it happened as a chick you would be fine using him to breed, it's not genetic.
 
a vitamin deficiency when young. this can be corrected with vitamin therapy as chicks but not much you can do once it becomes permanent. shouldn't affect your breeding. BTW my daughter in SD is planning on visitiing your ranch . . .
