Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Well in younger years there was a male establishment called "Sugar Shack," just across our state line in Wisconsin, with men of that enterprise but my friend and I were too young to get in. We just got to hear about what went on.

If someone would like to see that kinda thing in a moving, and comedic fashion dig up "The Full Monty," from years ago. The steel mills close down and men are without jobs and need the $$$. They hear about the Chippendale dancers and how much they rake in per performance and want to try it themselves. A minor down side is the actors speak "cockney" English which is difficult to understand. After a bit, it doesn't matter, their actions carry the movie along. I would have given it 5 stars then.

It had a definite plot and drew the very likable characters together. I'll have to see if I can stream it. I had the movie once and watched a few times but, was mad the video didn't have the scene with the Chippendale dancers which was a pivotal part of the movie. Cool soundtrack too.

Jeez DD don't you ever sleep!! lol I know the movie Robert Carlyll is 'Rumpel..' in once upon a time - Dearie!!

Last nght DH and I watched - (collective groan I am sure) Crossfire Trail and Shaughnessy the Iron Marshall. They were both so good and not at all cheesy but then that's me. We love westerns and they really don't make them now like they did, tonight we have the Sacketts part 1 and 2 - with Sam Elliot (voice to die for) and Tom Selleck and no matter what anyone says I think he is gorgeous. DH is trimming his moustache to be look alike this morning, I think he got quite upset at my carrying on... you never know...the day is young

My son and daughter and son-in-law are planning on going to see Ant-Man this evening. My wife and I will probably go sometime later this weekend. We'll be sure and stay through the credits. :o)

When I left the theatre after Ant Man, I said to myself "A New Star is Born!" I had thought it was such a stupid premise that I only went to see it out of cabin fever & free air conditioning. Now I'm telling everyone to go see it.

My wife and I ended up going with the kids to see Ant-Man this evening. We all thought it was a good movie (a lot of humorous moments), although none of us thought it was quite as good as Guardians of the Galaxy.

We re-watched guardians of the galaxy last night, and I realized that it is the 80's pop music that I do not like. I never liked 80's pop music even in the 80's. I find myself pressing my palms against my ears and humming so it won't brain worm me, an have me humming sappy love songs for the next two months.

Also, there is a lot of back story to guardians that I did not have the first time I watched it.
I think Ant Man can stand alone.
It does not have all of those unanswered questions. I feel like it is the first Marvel movie that I am in on from the start.
