Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

We just returned a bit ago from seeing In the Heart of the Sea. While a bit uneven it was a fascinating story and definitely worth the price of a ticket. Be warned however, it does have a bit of sailor's language in it.

Oh gosh... sailor's language? I could use a refresher... been away from the Navy now for 15 years!

It will come right back - sort of like riding a bike.

My brother and I saw "The Big Short" today- too confusing for me to understand but, had humorous touches and good performances . My brother gave it only 2 stars . I would not recommend it but had star power for whatever that is worth, Brad Pitt (unrecognizable to me for most of the movie., Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Marisa Tomei. Melissa Leo (who I still hate from "Prisoners.") Steve Carell, Christian Bale.

My son and husband went to see the force awakens in 3d imax.
I stayed home so I would not barf.

The only thing that I don't like about it is they won't tell me anything.

We are going next weekend to see it normal.
My son said it was the best 3d he had ever seen. It did not have the roughness of a lot of 3d's that he has seen.

He said I might have even been able to handle it.
Doubtful.
I hurl when my husband changes his mind about a parking spot.
(I think it is only fair to warn people about such important life changes.)

Anyway, the point of this rambling is their advice is that if you have a choice of the 3d, do it.
