Okay let's hear it for Noah.

I've been chewing thru it trying to come up with a meaningful review since Sunday afternoon. AS the disclaimers point out " it is not for everyone." With some reservation, it did appeal to my brother and I - we both gave it three stars out of four.

I looked at it, as a trip to the movies not, as a biblical lesson. At 2 hrs.18 min. in length I was not bored. Actually the only annoying bit was the poor quality of the computer generated images. It reminded me of some battles in The Hobbit. I don't think it hurts the movie to say all animals were CGI. Actually there is a clever way issues of fighting, feeding and clean up were dealt with.

The major characters fulfilled their roles well- I was surprised with Emma Watson's acting chops, she has come a long way since Harry Potter. She is truly star quality .

The heavy issues of Noah, concern with 'man' destroying the Paradise, the was given him by ,ravaging all the treasures of nature, all the while commiting murder, debauchery, greed, and the conviction that Man rules the earth and has no need or use for a deity.

I believe that any movie that provokes people to question, discuss, and go back to the 'source' is worthwhile. It's not one more brainless movie to accompany popcorn and soda. The question of truth or "artistic license," instantly sent me to 'google' upon returning home, and fueled a strong desire to learn yet more.

I really want to see Noah, but now every movie that has water, chases, bouncy cameras, or whatever causes me to have motion sickness. And I can't take dramamine (or similar) substances. I tried sea bands, which help a bit, but I just know that all that roiling water in Noah would have be barfing in the aisles.

Last movie I saw was American Hustle. Good acting.

I'm a sea sicky person but, I was surprised I could handle Captain Phillips and Noah. I think I was too engrossed to notice.

I don't think the actual water, waves thing took up much time in the movie maybe you could close your eyes for that part. My niece takes something for sea sickness Dramamine or something like that.

I gave it 5 STARS out of a possible 4, my brother gave it 4 stars. GO SEE THIS MOVIE !!

All I will say is stay for the credits, there is the first bonus scene shortly after credits start to roll, and a second bonus scene after the credits are finished, as is common with Marvel character movies.

Okay guys, go see it and report back here to comment - pro or con. All opinions /reviews are welcome.

If any one has seen Divergent, I would really like to know if it is better than the critics say. I think it has a 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes - which is poor.

I'd rather have a 'real person,' review , than a movie critic who will say a movie is awful if they don't like the music score, or someone's accent.

Personally, I was very disappointed. The trailers implied something that wasn't true, that she had some sort of special powers. She didn't. She was just a rebel and able to control her fears. I kept waiting for something to happen to jazz it up and nothing did. It just was a real letdown for both me and my husband.

My husband saw Ender's Game, also said it was a disappointment to him. And he's a real movie buff that it takes a real clunker to turn him off.

Of course, I'm not much of a movie buff in general. I can go forever without watching one because more often than not, I'm disappointed.

Thank you Speckled Hen, now I won't bother trying to see it. I also believed she was "special" from the trailers.

I too hate when a movie indicates one thing and is another. "Her" comes to mind, it seemed like it would be a cute and sweet offbeat faux romance. It turned into what I consider "porn." I would have walked out but I was certain it would turn around again and be nice. It didn't.

Since "Her" I have been very down on the actress -Scarlet Johansson- which is stupid ,she played a role I didn't like. She isn't 'that in' every movie. After her performance in Capt.America, she has restored my faith in her.
