Today we saw "Thelma". The story of a grandmother who fell victim to the 'Your grandson is in prison and you need to send money scam'. Her reaction and attempt to track down the scammers makes for some good humor and laughs. We both go 3.5 stars on this film.

The opening part of the Beekeeper has an elderly women falling for a scam too!

I haven't seen the ones mentioned (will look them up)
like to share looking into Chinese television dramas on youtube. that are free. I like the historical, and costume themes. Great stories, great characters, beautiful settings. Story lines that you just have to find out what happens. Don't be put off by needing to read sub titles.

Haven't heard of that one but I've heard of this scam. There's even some scammers that utilize AI to make it sound like your loved one's voice.

I would ask my "loved one" somethong only they would know, like the name of an animal we don't have any more.

Definitely a smart practice. Just wanted people here to be aware of it. It's unfortunate that these scams still happen and they're only getting better at it

Today we saw "Touch" - the story of an elderly man trying to find a long lost love. Princess called it 'two hours I will never get back'. I found it to be a true love story, and will go 3.5 stars.
