Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Going tomorrow to see the 1994
Little Women in the theater.
Husband is taking me to eat and then to watch the movie.
The theater is about an hour away, but they’re showing some older movies through New Year’s Day.
Showing Christmas Vacation December 6th and A Christmas Story December 20th.

My daughter said “Good, and really long…”
Well we all watched “Wicked Part 1” yesterday, and went to see “Wicked: For Good” today. Five hours of movie in less than 24 hours was a lot, but I’d give both movies 3 thumbs up. I like the songs from the first part better, so favor that one, but the sequel is also good. Hubby even stayed up for it (10am movie)…

We watched the Ron Howard film “Eden” last night, very good!

Frighteningly, it’s based on a true story. There’s also a documentary “The Galapagos Affair” which I haven’t seen.
I watched the Ron Howard film “Eden” movie today. I find this movie stressful and I managed to watch it to the end. It feels even more stressful knowing that it is a true story.

I view is that such a big island for a handful of people. People that left civilization to find a new life and here just a handful of them, they managed to do the worst to each other. Google search came back that they don't know to this day what happened to the Baroness and her other lover. They have not been found.

That Doctor and his wife were so mean. If they left civilization for an off grid life, why did he write & send letters back about his life there, he needs to be heard/ be recognised? What did he expect when he reaches out, people will eventually arrive.

I give this movie 5/5 because it stirred emotion, and this is a true story. Real life story and it can happen to any of us should we unfortunate enough to be with such people.

A positive about this true story is that the nice couple with their son and baby lived on and it is so nice to know she lived to her 90 and her family still live there.

This week I also watched the movie Train Dreams.

I give it a 4/5 because I like such slow movie.

This movie makes me ponder about life in general. This man's life is slow & quiet compared to many of our life today. It was slow, but it has meaning and depth. He lived out his life peacefully, but with loneliness and he did not make any effort to get out of it. Did he not want to or just don't know how because it takes so much effort? Might be he thought it would be nice to get out of solitude, but the outcome is not worth the effort...who knows?

My daughter informs me that…

Harry Potter Fans:
The 25th anniversary of
The Sorcerer’s Stone is this year.
A theater about an hour or so from us is playing this movie at the end of December.
She wants to go see it.
Check your theaters!
