Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I've heard Christian Bale is one of the most difficult actors to work with BUT, DARN he is GOOD !!! I loved him in "The Prestige", and "3:10 to Yuma," and many others that my brains won't recall for a few days or more.

Ok. Jurassic World IMHO.

Pros: Of course the special effects.
They used a Triumph instead of a Harley like most movies.

Cons: Over all the Disney atmosphere of the movie ruined it as in;
Seemed geared for a kid.
With mad max you expected insane antics. I didn't expect it with this movie.
No one can ride a street bike in a forest like that. Even the fourwheeler would have problems. Dirt bike only if you were really good.
If people were attacked in this manner by animals blood and dead bodies would be everywhere.
Male lead is some macho doofus.
Female falls for macho doofus instead of making fun of him as was needed.
Kids think mucho doofus is cool.
Overall I expected a adult movie. Maybe I should have checked the rating.

He was also very good in Equilibrium, Reign of Fire, the Prestige, and the last Batman trilogy.

Michael, someone told me that Christian Bale's first movie was something like "The Emperor, or Emperor of the sun," when he was a young boy. They said he was great. Have to see if I can find or stream that one.

I'm still having "Dare Devil," withdrawal because I watched too many too soon and now have to wait for the next season - BOO. They shouldn't make seniors wait for long for next installments.

Did you watch the '57 version of 3:10 to Yuma? I thought it was just as good if not better and I loved the new version.

I haven't seen that particular Christian Bale movie. I'll have to check it out. My son and I miss watching Daredevil as well. Looking forward to season two.

Diva, yes, and he was awesome in it. I actually watched it when the new version came out, it played on TCM or one of the other one's that plays classics.
