Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

My son (and brother) will not go to a movie alone. I got over that in the 1980's but, used to sit on the aisle seat way at the back in case I got a panic attack. I never did but it was nice to have an escape route.

No panic attacks here, but whenever I enter a theater I immediately locate all exits. I also do this in all restaurants/public places. Sadly it's the world in which we now live. Tomorrow we will see "Alpha". Review to be posted tomorrow evening. :clap

Sean I have a feeling you don't care for super hero movies. Especially ones that may be a talking tree or raccoon that talks, can fly a spaceship and carries a big gun. Takes some getting used to (Guardians of the Galaxy). I thought "How lame." Then my brother and I saw it and we loved it. So does my sister and son. The second one was very good also.

Sour I agree, I don't like to sit near the windows in case of "drive by fruitings,"(Mrs.Doubtfire).

Robin Williams was fantastic in that. He was also great in an oldie "Moscow on the Hudson."

Robin Williams was an incredible talent.

So, today we saw "Alpha". On the way out the Princess said, "That was a stupid movie. You've got to admit that was a stupid movie." It was a stupid movie, but I enjoyed seeing it. She gave one star, and I can only go two stars even though I liked it - it was a stupid movie. :idunno

Sour, I remember a good and pretty funny dog movie from 2000 called "Dog Show." If you google it will show cast list etc. It was typical show people maybe overdone a smidgen and funny. Who knows it could be in the $ 5. bin at Walmart by now.

At Dollar store last year they had a few titles- can't recall the name but I got a really good one with the actress that plays "Elaine" on the old Seinfeld show, and the late James Gandofini(?) who was the star of The Sopranos." Very good, touching movie, and lots of funny bits. Some good places to cry also.
