Currently Hatching!

So far I have one button quail chick. It's been a while and I'm starting to get nervous nothing else is going to hatch. I hope he'll be okay alone.

And the worst part is I can't get my brooder up to 95 degrees. Any ideas. It's a 20 galloon fish tank with a heat lamp with a 60 watt bulb.

75 or 100 watt bulb?

75 watt red. Those guys are crazy.

I always used a 60 watt bulb for my buttons. They got way too hot with the 75-100 wtt bulbs, and I had at least 3 buttons die from getting too hot.

Watch them carefully when you put them in the brooder and see how they act. If they are huddled under the light, they're cold, if they are at the very back of the brooder panting, they're too hot. If they're running around contently around the brooder the temp is perfect.
