Curved middle toes on emu chick

I’m new to emus. This chicks toes were straighter and now they seem curved. Should I try to straighten them?

How old is he? My chicken chick I hatched a few days ago, had curved toes, but when he started walking on them they got better.

they don’t look to bad I think just leave it but if it gets worse just make him some sandals (cut cardboard to foot size then put a bandaid over the top)

Emus are different than nns. An emu needs good, healthy legs to survive. @Pyxis probably has the best answer but they're probably sleeping right now

I'd give it a couple days. Hopefully they will straighten right out.

Did these toes straighten out? I have a similar problem with an 8day old chick. He hatched from a very small egg(370g). They seem to be getting worse.

Mine got better with time. Now he’s almost two and they are perfect. I kept massaging them and gave him lots of vitamin b-12. It does seem concerning that yours is getting worse though.

I was reading back at my post and I did say they got slightly worse before they got better. I wish I could remember exactly when they started to straighten. His egg was smaller than my other two chicks eggs. Sorry I’m not more helpful.
